For you philistines out there who don't have the entire script of Steel Magnolias memorized and who've been asking about the quote at the top of my blog, Drum Eatonton is a character in that movie. The quote is one of Shirley MacLaine's lines:
Clairee: You know, you would be a much more contented, pleasant person if you would find ways to occupy your time.
Ouiser: I am pleasant. Dammit! I saw Drum Eatonton at the Piggly Wiggly this morning, and I smiled at the son of a bitch 'fore I could help myself.
I just assume that everyone else is a freak like me, Kim and Stephanie and goes around spouting southern belle chick flick quotes for no good reason.

I am happy to report to all of you that I have almost completed the switchover from spring/summer to fall/winter closet. Minnie is trying to help by pulling anything with a strap or tassel or made of any kind of cloth out of the pile and running all over the house with it. Other than that, she's been a relatively good girl. She made friends with a cute little boy named Logan at the vet's office. He let her jump up on him and dance with him. He kept calling her "Buddy" and having her chase him all over the lobby. I need that kid to come over to my house and occupy her while I'm trying to write.
